The short version

Your photos never leave your device. Face detection, cropping and background replacement all run inside your web browser. We never receive, upload, store or see your photos, and we can't, because they are never sent to us.

Your photos

When you choose a photo, your browser loads it into memory on your device. The tool processes it there and creates the files you download. When you close or reload the page, the photo is gone. The face detection models are downloaded from our own website to your browser, so no other company is involved in processing your photo.

Information collected when you visit

We don't ask you to sign up, and we don't collect your name or email address unless you choose to email us.

Our website is hosted by Cloudflare. Like any website host, Cloudflare processes basic technical information, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request, to deliver the site and protect it from abuse. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.

Advertising

PhotoAccepted is free because it is supported by advertising. We may show ads from Google AdSense. When ads are shown:

• Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website or other websites.
• Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the internet.
• You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' cookies at www.aboutads.info.

Ads never have access to your photos.

Cookies

The photo tool itself does not use cookies. Cookies may be set by our advertising partners as described above. Where the law requires it, we will ask for your consent before they are used.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. Parents can safely use the tool to make photos of their children, since the photos stay on the parent's device.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
